Raven Features: Data Entry
Raven also offers an optional advanced feature to allow extended data entry by primary team members. For example, homecare nurses could be authorized to enter their own alerts, encounter notes and or messages for physicians using the Raven collaboration tool, which would then be integrated directly with the clinic's EMR system, where the patient's physician could view them as part of their EMR workflow. These optional data entry features are integrated with Raven's role-based designated access control mechanisms, so it's a simple matter to allow certain roles data entry capability for specific types of information, while providing read-only access to other unauthorized users. As always with Raven, the clinic and physician's who “own” the patient records have the final say as to who gets to see and do what using Raven.
Raven Homecare Encounter Note Data Entry Example
When authorized primary care team members enter new encounter notes, alerts, physician messages and such, Raven integrates these data items with the back end EMR database, using Coalese's Tsunami Integration Engine. Physicians can see the new items as part of their normal EMR workflow, thus minimizing any disruption to their clinical work and potentially alerting them, if so desired, to new patient information of interest to them.
