Raven Features: Mobile and Remote Access
Raven can be used to provide designated access to such EMR patient records on any browser-enabled device that is connected to the internet.
A wide range of devices is supported, including:
- Smartphones (eg. Blackberries and iPhones)
- Tablets (eg. iPad)
- UMPC (Ultra-Mobile PCs)
- Laptops
- Desktop computers.
Raven is compatible with wired, wireless and cellular internet access. All patient data is protected using strong encryption techniques. Access to Raven over the internet also requires two-factor authentication, before an authorized user will be allowed in.
The Raven user interface dynamically adjusts to the screen size, dimensions and features of the device the user has available, to provide an optimized viewing experience. Touch
sensitive devices, such as iPhone smartphones, UMPCs and tablets allow the user to just tap the Raven buttons with their finger.
Raven users are free to select the best device that suits their role and mode of work. Homecare nurses might prefer to use smaller, more portable UMPC-like devices with both WiFi and Cellular connectivity capabilities, but that still provide a larger viewing screen. Physicians, for mobile access to their patient records, may prefer smaller, pocketable smartphones, whereas EMT/Paramedics might use laptops built into their ambulances.
The Raven Collaboration and Access solution allows customers to leverage existing hardware and mobile device investments, or to choose new and innovative devices that suit their particular needs, preferences and budget.
